’Fair Isle Friday’ postings on Instagram and a resolution to add colorwork to my knitting (and some stash sorting) led me to design this cowl pattern. The softness of the worsted merino is multiplied by the squishy-ness of the stranding.
A simple Fair Isle Heart motif is repeated, in graduated neutrals to a pop of color, in this sweet & soft cowl.

You Will Need :
Shepherds Wool Worsted 100% Merino, 250 yards per 4 oz skein
About 175 yards of the main color (MC),
shown in Misty Blue
20 yards each of 4 contrast colors (CC), shown in A- Black, B- Granite, C- Pewter and D- Christmas Red
24 inch circular US6 (4mm) and US7 (4.5mm) needles,
Gauge : 20 stitches and 24 rows to 4 inches in Fair Isle Pattern with larger needle
Stitch marker & Tapestry needle
Finished Dimensions : 27 1/2 inches x 7 1/2 inches, after blocking
