US6 / 4.0mm, or size to obtain gauge
3.25mm crochet hook if doing crochet bind off

Gauge
23.5 sts and 30 rows = 4in / 10 cm in lace pattern (blocked)
Precise gauge is not necessary, but alterations in gauge will affect yarn requirements and finished size.

NOTES FOR PATTERN BEFORE 6/17/2016 AND FOR KITS:

Use up each mini skein as you work the shawl.
The shawl is blocked quite hard to open up the flowers.
You may need to frog your swatch and use that yarn to complete the shawl.
The samples pictured both weigh about 115g; at least 125g of yarn is included in the kits.

2/9/16: Crochet bind off correction to written (chart notes are correct). Should read: Sc in 1st stitch, ch7, start repeat sc3tog, ch9, (sc5tog, ch9) three times twice, sc3tog, ch9 twice, rep from start repeat to last 40 stitches (last flower), sc3tog, ch9, (sc5tog, ch9) three times twice, sc3tog, ch9, ch7, sc in last stitch.
