A decadent crescent-shaped shawl – quick to knit with therapeutic stretches of squishy garter stitch, dropped stitches and paired with a fluffy lace motive for the border. Perfect for plundering the stash.

It calls for 100g of sport weight yarn for the main part of the shawl plus a 20g fingering weight mini held double with a strand of mohair for the border.

Pattern Notes/ Size Adjustments:
Although designed with the yarns referenced above this is an extremely flexible pattern. You can use DK or a plumper sock-weight yarn as a substitute but note that your yardage requirements will change (ie if using DK you may need more than 100g!)!
If using DK you could go up to 5mm needles but, again, be aware your yardage requirements will change and you’ll get a larger shawl.
If you want a deeper/longer shawl you can adjust by adding another repeat of the border pattern.

CONSTRUCTION – the pattern starts with a garter stitch tab then increases every row with ‘loopy rows’ interspersed, then finishing with a 7 row repeat border for the end, and a stretchy bind off.
