The inspiration for Isra Mandala
Mandalas are just cool :) I love the flower shapes, the repetition, the tranquility that this mandala radiates. Did you know that Isra means “Night Journey”?

Materials
You can make this project with any kind of yarn and in any color you like. I don’t recommend using fluffy yarn because it makes the pattern less visible. I also don’t recommend using two colors that are very similar (e.g. Light blue and turquoise) because you will not see the drawing clearly then.

In the pattern we work with Color A
and Color B. You can choose to switch colors, but we will continue to call colors A and B. In addition to your yarn, you will also need a matching crochet hook, at least 2 stitch markers, a darning needle to weave in the threads and scissors to cut the threads.

For this pattern we used colors of Scheepjes Color Crafter. Scheepjes Color Crafter is a premium acrylic yarn that is available in over 90 colours. It comes in generous balls of 100 grams with no less than 300 meters per ball:
Colour A 1010 Amsterdam: 682 gram/2045 m/7 balls
Colour B 1002 Ede: 682 gr/2044 m/7 balls

Size
If you work with the prescribed material and with the same tension, this project will be approximately 126 cm wide and 168 cm high.

Tension
With Scheepjes Color Crafter and crochet hook size 4 mm, 1 square is approximately 1 by 1 cm.
