Issen is a sideways sock in flat knitting, featuring a contrast color line on a horizontal ribbing pattern. The contrast color line makes the ribs easier to graft. The pattern includes variations with prism colors and bi-color options.

Note: Prism version applies only to medium size foot circumference only. The six colors cannot be evenly spaced in other sizes.

SIZING
Choose the size of foot circumference from small (medium, large) and the size of length from short (middle, long). Sole length is adjustable between 19.5-23.5 cm / 8-9 1/2”. The sock sole should be 2-2.5 cm / ¾-1” shorter than your foot length.

Foot circumference: Small (medium, large)
Finished measurement: 19 (20, 21) cm / 7½ (8, 8½)”
Recommended ease: 2-3 cm / ¾-1¼“ of negative ease at foot circumference. If you have a high instep, consider taking more positive ease than suggested.
