This decorative cushion consists of two squares, one with map and one plain, both made using single crochet stitches throughout.

There’s a graph and a row by row color stitch count for the map of Italy. This pattern requires colorwork: intarsia and Fair Isle techniques, that are briefly explained and there’s a link to video tutorial, explaining both techniques.

You can also make a tied opening (photo tutorial), that makes the pillow insert removable = easy to wash.
