It's a Hoot! Owl Texting Gloves
It’s a Hoot! Texting gloves were created by request to match all of my other It’s a Hoot! Patterns.
The texting gloves are crocheted with beautiful cables to create owls looking up at you as you wear them. Foundation single crochet was used around the top with a ribbed cuff for great stretch, comfort and a decorative edge.
Stylish and classy for the adults and yet very cute and fun for the bigger kids too!
Glove is worked from fingers to cuff. Buttons are attached during the actual crochet work, so no sewing on after. I don’t know about you, but anything to save weaving in an end makes me HAPPY.
Pattern uses 4 buttons, 5/8” and is written in two sizes: Small and Large with hook size and gauge given to fit measurements of 7”, 7.5”, 8”, 8.5”, or 9 Inches around palm. Please, please, please measure intended recipients hand around the palm. Sizing of gloves and hands vary greatly from person to person. One of my testers has a 6 year old daughter that is 7” around the palm, while another tester who is a full grown woman had the same measurement. Shown on my hand in 8.5” size Large with the optional thumbs added.
Written in American Standard terms with photos of the cable cross round and the button double crochet have been added to this pattern.
Knowledge of front post and back post crochet is required and assumed. This is not a beginner pattern due to the cabling design.
