I often want a cowl that will tuck nicely into the top of my jacket or sweater. The extended version of this cowl does just that! It’s soft, stretchy ribbing will keep your neck toasty—even on windy days! The upper portion takes advantage of wrapped stitches for some texture. And if you use a variegated yarn, as I have in the samples, the wraps break up color-pooling and add a nice visual element to the cowl. The small cowl is a lovely accent piece that will still keep you cozy!

I had wonderful luck with both SweetGeorgia Worsted and MadelineTosh Vintage. Variegated colors work well because of the wrapped stitches, but a solid color would be equally lovely. You’ll be able to see the wrapped stitches better with a lighter yarn.

The MadelineTosh sample is knit in a OOAK overdyed colorway created by my son, Isaac!
