An elongated, asymmetrical triangle shaped shawl, knitted sideways, flat. The garter stitch body is broken at set intervals by contrast colour eyelet inserts.

A shawl that really wanted to be something else. My initial idea was very different, but no amount of reknitting and rethinking could make it quite right, so it just kept changing and getting simpler and simpler, until it became a very basic and I dare say very happy little shawl, reminiscent of a bright sunny day with blooming flowers.

Yarn: Drops Loves You 7, held double, 258 g/877 m (9 oz/960 yds)
Colour 09 (yellow): 195 g/663 m (7 oz/725 yds)
Colour 17 (green): 23 g/78 m (0.8 oz/85 yds)
Colour 14 (light pink): 7 g/24 m (0.2 oz/26 yds)
Colour 15 (dark pink): 9 g/31 m (0.3 oz/34 yds)
Colour 10 (light purple): 11 g/38 m (0.4 oz/42 yds)
Colour 11 (dark purple): 13 g/44 m (0.5 oz/48 yds)
Needles: 4 mm (US 6), 80 cm (32”) or longer circular (or size to get gauge)
