"It's gettin' hot in here" Climate Cowl
The cowl is a simple knit and worked in the round. It has an inner lining which makes it reversible. The “A-side” patterning reflects the scientific record for average global temperatures from 100 years ago to the present day (1 round knit = 1 year), whilst the “B-side” pattern consists of striped colour blocks. Each yarn colour represents a small temperature range, from cooler blues through to hotter reds. Both sides are intended to communicate the same message: the planet is heating rapidly; climate change is real. Enjoy wearing your cowl – “A-side” or “B-side” - and I hope it opens up the conversation.
The pattern is written for one size, but you can adjust the number of stitches cast on if you prefer a snugger cowl, for example.
