It’s Only Natural Poncho is a stylish garment that’s quick to knit and feels like a big warm hug on crisp cold days. This poncho is designed with one point so that you can wear it with the long point in the front, off the shoulder, or in the back. The choice is yours. With a wide ribbed neck, it’s comfortable when worn over layers. This poncho comes in one size, yet due to its construction it stretches to a comfortable fit for size small through 3X.

It’s Only Natural Poncho is knit with Borgo de’ Pazzi Naturalia Wool which makes the poncho very light weight yet extremely warm. This poncho was inspired by super chunky Naturalia Wool and a desire to create a stylish chunky fabric without the super chunky wood needles.

Needles: U.S. size 19 (15mm), 32”/80cm circular needle (for body), or size to obtain gauge, metal recommended for ease of knitting with roving like yarn.

U.S. size 15 (10mm), 24”/60cm or 32”/80cm circular needle (for ribbed collar) or DPNs.

Yarn Used: Borgo de’ Pazzi, Naturalia, (100% organic wool, 132 yds/120 m, 7.05 oz/200 gr skein); 3 skeins color #3, or similar super bulky wool.

Yardage: 260-300 yards. Note that the poncho can be made with 2 skeins if one knits very carefully and uses the swatch yarn.

Alternate Yarns: These yarns were used by test knitters; Crucci Natural Wonder or Loops & Threads Cozy Wool.
