Pattern Notes

This 18 page pattern guide provides written and photo instructions for how to make your own unique pair of wrap pants/fisherman’s trousers with button closures. This guide is entirely size inclusive and instructs you on how to measure yourself to create a pair of pants tailored to your specific body type and fit.

This pattern guide takes you, step by step with 34 labelled photos, through the process of measuring yourself to achieve a tailored fit, how to apply those measurements to your gauge, how the pants are constructed, and how to improvise your own design based on this guide’s instructions and the base pattern provided.

This guide does not provide instructions for how to make the featured pants shown in the listing photos, they are merely examples of the many unique styles you can achieve using this guide. The rainbow pants are a third version I have made that feature wrap ties, however these instructions are not provided in the guide. If you want wrap ties, simply forgo the buttonhole rows and work your ties from the edges of your waistband.

While overall quite simple, this pattern guide is not intended for beginner knitters/crocheters, but for those who have a decent understanding of clothing construction under their belt and know how to apply provided construction techniques to a larger project of their own design. This guide provides all the base construction details, but the overall design (stitches used, colors used, length of the pant legs, pockets) are left to your creative discretion.

Please note, while this is a universal guide for both knitters and crocheters, all sample photos used throughout are crocheted. This will not affect your project if you are knitting, and instructions are clarified, where applicable, whether they are specific to knitters or crocheters.
