This pattern uses the gulls and garter stitch pattern to create rows of seagulls all waiting to swoop on a dropped chip by the seaside. It’s a 4 row pattern, which looks far more complicated than it actually is. The slipped stitch pattern is good for both semi solid and more variegated yarns. Knit top down, with a choice of two heel flaps, the sock will fit a variety of foot sizes. Stitch counts are given for a small/medium and medium/large adult foot. One of my test knitters knit the medium/large size but using 2.25mm needles to fit her foot. Just go with the stitch count and needle size that works for you.

Hayley from Ducky Darlings has created a special sock set, Pesky Seagulls, to go with this pattern. You could however choose to knit the sock using just one skein of yarn, or using a sock set and mini skein to contrast. The possibilities are endless. One 400g skein of fingering weight yarn will easily make a pair of socks.
