It’s Snow Time! was inspired by the lovely Lost Amigo I Snowflake by Deborah Atkinson. I’m a big fan of Deborah’s snowflakes, but since crochet is just not my cup of tea, I knitted it :D

The points of this snowflake remind me of the hands on a clock. That’s why I named this design “It’s Snow Time!”

Materials
• Any yarn weight
• 4 dpns in size recommended for the yarn
• circular needle in corresponding size or scrap yarn
• Tapestry needle (for weaving in the ends)

Notes

  1. Size will vary depending on yarn and needles chosen.
  2. Lacy points: The points of the snowflake are formed by a series of cast ons/bind offs, otherwise known as picots. After completing each sequence of cast ons/bind offs, place the last stitch back to your LH needle before you begin the next sequence.
  3. Stiffening: Block out your finished snowflake. You will also need to stiffen it if you want to use it as a hanging ornament. Use any stiffener you prefer.
