Spring is special time for me here in Finland. Everything comes a live after winter, nature turns green and flowers come alive. Everything is so fresh and new, again. So that inspired me to create this pattern for our mKAL.

So this pattern is a mKAL pattern knitted in Facebook group Addicted to Sock Knitting. There was all levels of participants and pattern was made for dpn’s and circulars as well as for beginners and intermediate knitters so don’t be afraid to go jump to deep end if colorwork is not familiar to you!

It is a cuff down colorwork pattern with heel flap and turn and where gusset is done under the heel to keep the colorwork looking continuing on the sides. Also there is available shortie version so if you don’t want to knit long leg version you can choose shorter (showing in the pictures).

Pattern includes charts, some written instructions and some pictures of the steps like when doing gusset. Also tips and tricks links to tutorials are included, same as given in the mKAL. Most charts have easy repeats to follow so if you’re not familiar to colorwork this is pretty easy start for that.

Pattern was tech read and well, test knitted by all who participated to our mKAL and also fixed on the way if something needed to be corrected.

Hope you enjoy the pattern as much as the mKAL participants did. And feel free to come check out our Facebook group, we will have more mKAL’s in the future and we love to see all kinds of knitted socks there!
