I remember how much I admired Blanche’s self-confidence and unapologetic middle-aged sensuality. Now, as a middle-aged woman myself, I only wish I had just an “itty biddy” bit of her self-assurance!

As a person who is self taught in crochet, I know how frustrating patterns can be to follow and understand. That is why I have taken special care to ensure that my pattern is thorough but easy to follow, with simple well-organized instructions, and over 40 photos to help you along. You will feel confident that you will end up with a well-made quality product when you have finished this pattern. To complete this pattern you will need:
experienced beginner crochet skills,
a small amount of worsted weight cotton yarn in black, light skin tone, and dress and hair colours of your choice,
3 mm hook (UK 11, US D/3)
two 10 mm (0.4 inch) safety eyes
polyester fibre fill
small piece of cardboard to cut about a 2” circle or a 2” washer
optional small earrings and necklace for bling
super glue
darning needle, thin sewing needle, thread
stitch marker

The finished Blanche Doll will be about 5” tall and 2” wide. Designed with a flat bottom so it will stand upright and can be easily displayed on your shelf of collectibles.
