The Ivö Shawl is worked back and forth from one tip to the other. The first part is worked in wide stripes of stocking stitch and inverse stocking stitch, and the last part in narrow stripes. The V-formed stripes are made by decreasing over the three centre stitches while a the same time increasing at both edges. Finally a small tassel is joined at each end.
