The Ivö Skirt is worked from the waist down. At first, you work a ribbed band with eyelets for the tie-string. Then you continue in stocking stitch with increases. The lowermost section is worked in a knit and purl stripe pattern composed of knit and purl stripes with increases at the bottom.
