Ivy Cardigan
This pattern is posted on The Hook Nook Life blog here
It can be made in 2 sizes. Just below are the actual measurements. This cardigan has plenty of positive ease, see further down for information on choosing a size.
Regular Size
- Back Panel: approx: 23” wide, 28.75” long
- Front Panels: 8” wide, 28.75” long
- Arms: widest around:15.5”, approx: 9.8” long
Larger Size
- Back Panel: approx: 25” wide, 28.75” long
- Front Panels 9” wide, 28.75” long
- Arms: widest around 16.7”, approx: 9.8” long
If you have one of these bust sizes (not bra size, measure your bust) it’s recommended you make the regular size, unless you want a lot more ease. (“ = inches)
- 32” (14” positive ease)
- 33” (13” positive ease)
- 34” (12” positive ease)
- 35” (11” positive ease)
- 36” (10” positive ease)
- 37” (9” positive ease)
- 38” (8” positive ease)
- 40” (6” positive ease)
If you have one of these bust sizes it’s recommended you make the larger size, unless you want it to be more form fitting.
- 42” (8” positive ease)
- 44” (6” positive ease)
- 46” (4” positive ease)
- 48” (2” positive ease)
- 50” (0” positive ease)
Materials
- US Size 8 (5.0 mm) circular needles (16”)
- DK (#3) weight yarn
- Regular Size = 822 yards (I used 6 balls of Paintbox DK cotton)
- Large Size = 920 yards
- Yarn Needle
- Removable Stitch Markers
Note: I recommend using natural fiber yarn if you can, I think it responds the best to blocking and won’t curl as much on the inside garter cuff edge.
