The Ivy Green is a snuggly wrap that can easily be adjusted to your preferred size. The pattern includes written instructions as well as both right-handed and left-handed charts for the middle section. The pattern uses basic sc, hdc and dc stitches (US terms).
The middle panel uses the tapestry crochet technique, a method for working multiple colors across each row. For this wrap you will only use two colors at a time, and a DK weight yarn, making the pattern an ideal introduction to those who are new to the technique. A photo tutorial on how to switch colors is also included in the pattern (on the last page so that you can choose whether or not to print it).
Level: intermediate (possibly the adventurous beginner)
Size: The example shown here measures 158cm x 44cm but both the length and width can be adjusted to suit your preferences.
Gauge will vary depending on your choice of yarn.
Suggested yarn: Any DK (or even worsted) weight yarn in acrylic, wool or a blend can be used. Cotton is not recommended as tapestry crochet is rather dense and the result can come out too stiff.
For the example shown here I have used Mayflower Merino Easy Care Classic. 9 skeins of #220 black and 4 skeins of #298 light sea green.
Hook(s): will depend on your yarn selection.
The pattern has been tested and checked for errors, however please do not hesitate to contact me should you find something amiss.
