Please enjoy this free pattern. My joy comes from creating and giving a little back to the knitting community. If you would like to support the creation of future patterns, please consider making a small contribution via Paypal to: Paypal.me/Viktionary
Contributions go towards purchasing yarn for future designs and the occasional Earl Grey latte to keep the fires of creativity fueled. Regardless of whether you contribute or not, thank you for your support and kind words on my patterns - they put a smile in my heart.
I found this vintage yarn with a sparkly highlight in it at a local thrift store and knew it needed a special pattern to show off the metallic glint. I decided on a motif with dropped stitches that resemble rows of eyes joined by little columns of small cables. Iwien means “to reveal; to disclose; to bring before the eyes” in Old English.
