I liked the decorative stitch in my Gotta Have Some Hot Stuff hat so much that I decided to use it for this cowl.
The cowl is knit from the bottom up, starting with a rolled edge. The ribbing makes it nice and stretchy. It’s shaped like a loose-fitting funnel neck and will cover the top of the shoulders to keep you cozy. Wear it under your coat for extra warmth or draped over your jacket for style and a pop of color.
I prefer to not block aggressively, so my completed cowl was just gently shaped, after a good soak, to 35” around the bottom edge. Feel free to cast on more stitches (in multiples of 4) if you wish a fuller fit and knit additional rounds where desired.
