J9's Super Chunky Slippers
I first made a pair of something similar these from a free hand knitting pattern, I loved them so much I wore huge holes in the soles – next pair will have leather soles!!!!
I wanted to make more, but problems with my hands and lack of time simply meant hand knitting wasn’t an option. I searched everywhere for a similar pattern for the knitting machine but couldn’t find anything like it! So, here is my machine knitted version, they look
very similar but there the similarity ends, it is knitted by a totally different method, no circular knitting and the purple option only required picking up 8 stitches!
The yarn used us Drops Eskimo, any similar extra chunky yarn could be used but please check your tension! Each pair of slippers took just under 4 x 50g balls.
The slippers shown were knitted on a Brother 270 knitting machine, using every other needle throughout. Happy Knitting!
