This shawl is such a wonderful and challenging knit that
the outcome is worth all the efforts. An intermediate
knitting skill is required for this shawl because there are
decorative yarn overs and decrease stitches worked on
the wrong side rows and this pattern is completely
charted and written out.
If you are looking for an advanced lace shawl pattern,
Jaali is a good option. The shawl that shown in this
pattern is a large size, knitted with beautiful Sundara
Sock, colorway Crimson.
Jaali is a name that suggested by a wonderful knitter
friend of mine. It is an architectural term for decorative
latticed screen and it goes perfectly with the lattice details
of this shawl.
I myself really enjoy knitting this shawl and I hope you all
have the same experience as mine!
The finished size of the three sizes are
small size 22” x 47”
Medium size 28”x 54”
large size 35” x 62”
This shawl has been test knitted by 9 wonderful knitters.
Thanks for the effort of you all.
Jaali is edited by wonderful Chaitanya - cmuralidhara. Thanks!
