Materials needed to make Jabu The Giraffe: 3.25mm or 3 US or 10 UK knitting needles, 2 x 3.25mm or 3 US or 10 UK double pointed knitting needles, 50g or 1.77 oz Sirdar Snuggly Crofter Baby Fair Isle Effect Dk in shade 0177 (one ball), stuffing, 8mm black safety eyes, embroidery thread - I used 2 strands together of Elle Crochet Thread No 5 in shade Hazelnut (198)
Knitting methods used: Cast on using the thumb method, knit, purl, M1R - Make 1 Right - Make 1 stitch by picking up the bar in between two stitches from back to front and knitting into the front of it, M1L - Make 1 Left - Make 1 stitch by picking up the bar in between two stitches from front to back and knitting into the back of it, K2tog - Knit 2 stitches together as 1, P2tog - Purl 2 stitches together as 1, SKPO - Slip one stitch knit wise, knit one stitch, pull the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch, cast off, I-cord - knit a cord with 2 double pointed needles, sew the pieces together using mattress stitch.
