Jack O'Lantern
Jack O’Lantern pattern is intermediate crochet.
US terms used
The limbs are crocheted first then Jack is crocheted from the bottom up as one piece. Top stem is attached separately.
The main pattern is worked in continuous rounds/spirals of single crochet. Optional buttoned vest is worked in rows. You will need to know how to do single crochet, hdc, slip stitch, increases and decreases.
Gauge is not important. Finished size if made using yarn and hook suggested will give a toy that’s approx. 23cm tall.

Requirements:
3mm hook or size needed so that no holes appear in stitches through which stuffing may show.
Carnival 8ply/DK yarn in the following colours:
MC (Main colour) – Light Green
CC1 (Contrast colour) – Purple
CC2 – Orange
CC3 – Black
CC4 – Brown
Black felt and glue for facial details
Small 1cm button and contrasting embroidery cotton
Long doll needle
Needle for joining pieces
Stuffing
