Each pamphlet has a different set of recommended yarns. The following are from the Studley version. Double Double (or Bulky) and DK yarns are both listed in the Studley pamphlet. Some of the other pamphlets also list these two weights of yarn. The DK yarn is knit with the same size of needles but with two strands held together, which makes the yarn a bulky weight.

Some pamphlets such as the Jarol version only list bulky yarns, while others such as the Poppleton version only list DK yarns.
