My inspiration, for this pattern was a 60’s looking channel cropped styled jacket and in my mind’s eye, I saw it, as something Jackie O’ would have thrown in her overnight bag for a weekend getaway. In my design notes, it became the Jackie Channel cardigan. I envisioned it as a staple garment that can be worn equally well with PJs & coffee in the morning, faded jeans with a white class white t-shirt or over a little black dress for evening cocktails. As I worked on this design, I thought Jackie Channel was a perfect superhero name, a strong, powerful and confident woman, who among her many super powers has the ability to travel light (seriously as someone who doesn’t travel light I truly consider this a super power) and always has the perfect outfit for any occasion.

The ‘oh, my …’ Option - Black

Loopy Mango’s Summer is a great bulky weight yarn that is surprisingly light, supple and best of all it does not look or feel bulky This yarn is my “oh my” option because, when you see it, touch it and wear it – you can’t help but saying “Oh my, it’s so luxurious, soft etc.” My only problem with this delicious yarn is the name Summer – I will argue this is a four-season yarn.

The Stash Gallery Collection Option - Pink

Select any summer worsted weight yarns that has been in your stash for too long. Two stands of worsted weight summer yarn (linen, cotton, bamboo, etc.) in specified gauge of 3 sts per inch 12st/17 rows per 4”). The suggested worsted yardage is based two stands.

The ‘Now That’s Interesting’ Option - Cream

Bernat’s Maker Home Decor - I confess this yarn came from a frogged project but I love the yarn as I feel it has an appealing texture. I am thrilled at how it turned out; I guess you could say it is the “jean jacket” version of the Jackie C. cardigan, funky & hardy.
