Fantastically spooky without being scary, these socks have a beautifully simple black and white striped throughout, with a surprise Jack o’ Lantern in the toe!

The pattern is written for 3 sizes, small (UK 5-6), medium (UK 6-7) and large (UK 7-8), but the it is very easily customizable to fit your own foot. As you’re knitting from the cuff down, you can slip your work over your foot to check the fit of the leg, heel and foot as you go.

Suitable for confident beginner sock knitters with knowledge of sock knitting and stranded colourwork - joining in the round, heel flap and gusset and kitchener stitch.

I’ve knitted these socks using Yarnsmiths Merino Sock yarn.
You will need the following quantities to knit 1 pair up to a UK size 8:
Black, 50g
Off White, 50g
Pumpkin, 10g
The yarn comes in skeins of 100g, so you will have plenty to make two pairs or lengthen the leg and make knee high socks!

Any 4 ply sock yarn will do, however, the gauge I’ve worked to is 28 stitches to 36 rows using 2.5mm double pointed needles - you can use a circular needle and the magic loop method if you prefer.

I have tried to make this pattern as user friendly as possible, but will provide you with my email address when you download the pattern, if you have any issues at all, do get in touch and I will be happy to help.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my listing, if you have any questions before purchasing, do get in touch.

Happy Knitting! x
