Jacobite Shawl
Jacobite Shawl
This pattern has been inspired by the Outlander story and the warmth of wool needed in Scotland particularly in the 1700s.
It has been designed as part of the KAL in conjunction with Honey Girl Farms and can be seen here in her yarns, Sassenach and Black Jack Randall.
I wanted to create a shawl that has the simplicity of the Outlander times and that shows the dyeing artistry of the yarn, and that can be worn in so many different ways from a neck shawl to tying around you.
This is a crescent shaped shawl that is knitted from the bottom up.
I haven’t included a gauge chart as its not really necessary for this piece.
The yarn I have used for this is Honey Farm Girls Sustainable 4ply (fingering weight) in colourway Black Jack Randall and Sassenach Luxury Sock.
