This is a combination of my two most frequently used patterns: ripple and Jacob’s Ladder. The directions are written in US terminology and should result in a throw to afghan sized project. The yarn I used here was a #4 weight acrylic/polyester blend chenille and it took about 60 ounces of it.

Because of the pattern, gauge is difficult to count in the standard 4” x 4” square so directions to make a pattern-specific gauge swatch is included in the attached pattern. In addition, the choice of yarn can dictate how tight/loose the Jacob’s Ladder loops so an alternative number of chains has also been included if “puckering” occurs when looping them up.
