These squares are worked from the outside round to the inside round
- this is an advanced pattern, though, there are video tutorials for anything that is out of the ordinary for any adventurous beginners who want to learn a bunch of new things!

Techniques used:

6 square patterns included
Try before you buy:
Simple Square (easiest) ( https://youtu.be/fZxdB_mMcZQ )
Leave a tail at least 6” long when starting. Use this end to join the bottoms of the first and last stitch of R1 together.
R1: 10fdc (fdc5tog, 20fdc) three times; fdc5tog, 10fdc, join being careful not to twist.
R2: 8dc (dc5tog, 16dc) three times; dc5tog, 8dc, join
R3: 6dc (dc5tog, 12dc) three times; dc5tog, 6dc, join
R4: 4dc (dc5tog, 8dc) three times; dc5tog, 4dc, join
R5: 2dc (dc5tog, 4dc) three times; dc5tog, 2dc, join
R6: (dc5tog) four times; join
Cut yarn leaving a tail at least 6” long, use the end to drawstring-close the middle if desired.

Yarn and sizing
Each square uses approximately 75 yards, and measures 7.5” square.

I recommend using a yarn that has excellent stitch definition, the smoother the better.

I also recommend changing colours every round - I believe this makes the Jacob’s Ladder technique really pop!

Layouts
I’ve included 6 layout options for blankets, but you can have a lot of fun arranging these squares in different ways to create a sort of “path” with your Ladders that goes any way you want. ^_^
