Designed for adult teacup size Yorkies and small breed dogs uip to s16” chest. My first dog sweater pattern featured Tricot, my older yorkie. It was designed for puppy size. Now it’s time to feature baby Jacquard who is all grown up at a whopping 4 & 1/2 pounds. Both Tricot and Jacquard are full grown and grew a bit longer than the original “tiny dog sweater” pattern. Now we have added some stripes to keep the girls warm. Working full time at Crafty Hands Yarn Shop finds them styling and spoiled! Pattern includes sizes up to 16″ chest.
Requires size 6 double pointed needles. Or any other size needle required for gauge of 21 stitches to 4″. You may adapt for any other circular method such as 2 circulars or one long circular. Yarns used are Plymouths DK merino superwash, one skein each of colors pictured. Self patterning yarns are great. We used Adriafils Knit Col. One skein will make the small and medium, large will require 2 skeins. Use one solid color DK merino for ribbing & edges and one skein Knit col will be sufficient for medium . Sizes include small/adult teacup, chest 11-12″, Medium, chest 13-14 and Large chest 15-16″
