Knitting Pattern for a short striped dress with a combination of horizontal and vertical stripes, short sleeves and a round neck with a double folded hem in sizes 1-2 | 2-3 | 3-4 (4-5 | 5-6 | 7-8) 9-10 | 11-12 | 13-14 yrs.

Structure:
The dress is worked top down with raglan increases: First, you work back and forth in rows to shape the round neck. After the front parts are closed to the round, the yoke is finished in stockinette stitch in rounds. After separating the sleeves, the body is finished in rounds too with working in additional increases for the most comfortable fit of the dress. The body is finished with a double folded hem in colourwork to create an interesting contrast of vertical stripes in comparison to the classic horizontal stripes.
Then, the sleeve stitches are picked up again and the short sleeves are worked in rounds and finished with a double folded hem in colourwork too.
The fit of the dress is slightly oversized with a positive ease of 5 to 10 cm around the bust. The body of the dress has additional decreases to provide enough room to move. The combination of horizontal stripes for the yoke and the body of the dress and of vertical stripes for the hems is the highlight of the design and creates a sporty, comfortable look with a special twist!

• 4 and 3.5 mm circular knitting needles, 4 and 3.5 mm DPNs
• darning needle
• stitch markers/left overs

Knitting Tension:
10x10 cm = 20 sts x 31 rs in stockinette stitch on 4 mm knitting needles (wet blocked)

Measurements:
Bust Circumference Finished Dress: 63 | 66 | 71 (73 | 78 | 81) 86| 88 | 93 cm with a positive ease of 5 to 10 cm.
Length: 48 | 50 | 52 (54 | 56 | 60) 64 | 68 | 72 cm (incl. 3 cm hem) – the length can be adapted individually
Sleeve Length: ca. 4 cm from the armpits (incl. 3 cm hem), can be adapted individually as well
