Jamal
Jamal is simply the word for camel. It is pronounced evenly: Jah-Mal. During the Around the World Stitch-Along in 2023, there was a little banter about making camel themed designs for the next year, and I had a perfect skein of yarn for that. So, would you like a Dromedary (one hump) or a Bactrian (two humps)? This design is a little whimsical and permits you choose either option to make warm and fun fingerless mitts. The humps serve a utilitarian purpose in trapping warm air next to the arms, too.
Materials:
Dromedary (one hump) - 1 (1, 1, 1, 1, 2) skeins of Malabrigo Rios (100% Superwash Merino) - (210 yards / 192 meters, 3.53 ounces / 100 grams per skein)
approximately 115 (135, 160, 180, 200, 220) yards / 105 (125, 150, 165, 185, 205) meters worsted weight yarn
sample knit with Malabrigo Rios 208 Camel

approximately 145 (170, 200, 225, 250, 275) yards / 135 (155, 185, 205, 230, 255) meters worsted weight yarn
