Jamberry Shawl
The Jamberry shawl is an elegant crescent-shaped shawl featuring arrowhead lace interspersed with rows of slip stitch colorwork. Jamberry can be knit with either laceweight yarn (held doubled as shown) or fingering-weight yarn (held single). See the Materials list below to determine the necessary yardage for your chosen yarn.
Starting with a garter tab, the shawl is worked flat from the top down in one piece in two complementary colors; because of the detail in the Lace Sections, a solid or mostly solid colorway works best here. In the Color Sections, use a solid color for a classic look or get creative with a unique multicolored yarn for the contrasting color! Both of the Lace and Color Sections are written out and charted. To make a smaller or larger shawl as desired, simply omit or add full repeats of the Lace and Color Sections.
Please note the following for this shawl, since it is mostly lace:
» the finished dimensions will vary depending on the extent/strength of the blocking; and
» the exact gauge is not critical, but the finished dimensions (and the number of completed Lace Sections) may depend on your MC yardage and gauge.
