Knitting pattern for a Classic Cable Pattern Sweater with a Round Neck, Double Folded Collar and a Box Fit in Sizes XS/S | M/L (XL/2XL | 3XL/4XL) 5XL

Structure:
The sweater is worked top downin cable pattern in one piece. First of all, the back part is worked back and forth in rows and with increases to shape the shoulders. As soon as the total number of stitches is reached, the back part is put to rest and stitches for the front panels are picked up along the back part. The front panels are first worked separately to shape the roundneck with increases. When the two front parts are joined at the round neck, the front part is finished off in one piece. Finally, when the front part has reached its final length, front and backpart are joined to the round by casting on new stitches under each armpit. The body of the sweater is finished in cable pattern in the round with a hemin 1x1 (twisted) ribbing. Afterwards, stitches for the sleeves are picked up along the armholes and the sleeves are worked in cable pattern in the round as well – and finished off with cuffs in 1x1 (twisted) ribbing. Last but not least, stitches along the neckline are picked up and a collar in 1x1 (twisted) ribbing is worked along the round neck. After the stitches have been bound off, the collar is fold to the inside of the sweater and the cast-off-row is sewn to the pick-up-row.
