If you love the look of fair isle but are intimidated by alternating colors every few stitches, this project is for you! Using an easy-to-memorize slip-stitch pattern, you get the effect of stranded colorwork while working with just one color per round!

This whimsical pattern allows you to blow through your stash and experiment with color combinations. While the pattern calls for 100 yards of the main color and 80 yards each of two other colors, you can probably make the hat with less yardage -- so it’s a great stash-buster!
