Jamo Tiger Head
I first tried Shadow/Illusion (SI) knitting mid 2021, and have been hooked ever since. I just love the effect. I have been working on my own designs ever since.
This tiger head is a part of a full tiger design but have put this pattern together for people who want to try the technique in a smaller project which would not consume as much time as the larger patterns. It is a cast on of 110 stitches and 202 rows.
I have also included written instructions, as well as a chart. I have had a great deal of feedback that people will not attempt this as they do not want to read charts…. so here you go.
Also the finished product I have made is small enough so you could use it for a cushion cover front for example or you could frame and hang it. Use your imagination and let us know what you use you tiger head for, we would love to know, pictures even better and we could put you on our website.
The final design in 8ply (DK) at my tension came out at 45 cm length by 51 cm wide (18 by 20 inch).
Basically you will need your yarn (in DK if you have a 100g ball of each colour this should see you through) and knitting needles.
If you know how to knit, purl, cast on and cast off then you are away.
I hope you enjoy this as much as I have designing it……
