Jane Eyre Shawl
Simple and elegant. Something to wear with jeans as well with a pretty dress. I wanted a little something to go over my shoulders when I sit in air conditioning, or for our summer evenings outside, here in the PNW (not so warm, come 9 pm)
This is my interpretation of what Jane Eyre might have worn.
The gauge on this is after blocking.
Finished size: long side: 49 inches, short sides 34 inches
I have used my handspun DK weight merino yarn.
Ruckusknits was kind enough to test this for us, she made it in Swan’s Island fingering yarn and it came out beautifully!!!
Callie is going to use Cascade Eco Alpaca yarn for it ( a worsted weight) This shawl is easy to adapt to different weight yarns!
The yardage needed might differ with your yarn choice.
If you make this shawl, please do tell us when you finish it. I would love to see the projects!
