Jane the Giraffe
This intermediate level pattern is perfect for those who already have some crochet experience, but are ready to take on a new challenge. With its adorable design and sweet personality, Jane the Giraffe is sure to become one of your favorite creations!
The pattern includes all of the steps necessary to create this cute little giraffe, from selecting the right yarn, and hook size, to perfecting each stitch.
Yarn used in this pattern
1 full skein of Yarnspirations - Bernat Blanket - In “Gold”
(If you have lose tension you may need to get a second skein of this yarn)
Yarnspirations - Bernat Blanket - In “Dark Grey” for the hooves, the horns, and the spots on the giraffe.
Loops and Threads - Chenille Home Slim - In “White” for the snout
Yarnspirations - Bernat Blanket - In “Pink Dust” for the blush detail. (You can substitute this with any pink yarn in any weight! This is also an optional detail!)
Any weight 4 Black and also White yarn. I use Red Heart Supersaver, you can use whatever you’d like in weight 4
Hook size used is 5mm
Safety Eyes I used are 10mm eyes, you’re more than welcome to use eyes that are bigger, but any smaller than 10mm will be, in my opinion, to small for this giraffe.
You will also need stitch markers, Fiberfill/stuffing, and a Darning Needle, as you will be sewing the head to the body, the horns onto the head, arms and legs to the body, and snout onto the face.
One of the best things about this pattern is that it allows you to unleash your creativity. You can chose from a range of different colors as there are many different colors of Bernat Blanket yarn, you can make her the traditional giraffe colors! This makes her truly unique! Whether you’re making her for a gift for someone special or just as a part of your own collection, she is sure to delight everyone who sees her!
Grab this crochet Jane the Giraffe pattern today and get started on one of your most enjoyable crocheting projects yet, with its clear instructions, and easy to follow steps with picture, you should have no trouble creating an affordable little giraffe that will be treasured for years!
