Jane’s Cowl
by Saz Mackay
Jane’s cowl is an easy cowl suitable for any standard gauge flat bed knitting machine that has patterning capacity (punchcard or electronic). It is a good introduction to changing colours and preparation for Fair Isle. It’s a great pattern for using up stash. An experienced machine knitter would probably knit it in a sitting.
It uses about 60g of yarn, across six colours. The punchcard is very simple - only one line long.
The pattern was inspired by swimming in pools and in the sea.
