This blanket has the chevron pattern running vertically while most run horizontally.

If you want to have the chevrons running horizontally, it is easy to adapt the pattern. Chevrons are crocheted over a multiple of 12 stitches and 16 stitches in pattern is 4 inches.

The blanket is made with variegated cotton yarn but feel free to use any light worsted weight (#3) yarn you have in your stash. I think it would wonderful in several colors change every couple of rows.
