Two caps for your knitting pleasure using similar Aran-travelling cable stitch patterns to adorn the pure wool cozies.

The watch-cap (shown in Stonehedge Fibers “Shepherd’s Wool worsted” in Pewter) uses a doubled-diamond cable, decreasing to a 5-point, cathedral-window-like joining at the top.

The tam-o-shanter style cap (shown in Knit Picks’ Wool of the Andes worsted in Bare) is made by first knitting a band of a single diamond cable with garter edges and then making the crown.

Both caps are knit in the round and written/charted directions are included in this fun (and practical) design, inspired by “January” in EZ’s Knitter’s Almanac.
