January Blues Jumper
The January blues Jumper is a result of the January blues we all get at the start of the year. It is oversized, bright, with a lot of colour changes, warm and fashionable.
The pattern is in both USA and UK terminology.
Further information
Yarn Fabulous finds chunky yarn – 9 skeins of 100g - 82m (90 yards) per ball
738m (810yards)
Off white aran yarn 50g – 100m
Yellow aran yarn 50g - 100m
Alternative yarn:
If you cannot find this yarn you can always use 2 strings of Aran yarn and you will accomplish the look. I probably prefer this method as it gives you control over the colour changes rather than relying on the original yarn changes.
In fact, I did this for the cuffs, collar and ribbing. I used Aran off white yarn and Aran yellow yarn to unify these 3 points in the design and make the jumper more structured.
Hook used 8mm
Tension/ gauge 10cmx10cm / 4’x4’
10 stitches and 7 rows
Crochet level Intermediate

Resizing
If you would like to make the cardigan smaller, use less in the foundation chain (reduce by 3).
For a larger poncho, use more in the foundation chain (add 3).
