This cute tote bag is perfect for everyday use! It can be used as a market bag or hobby bag it is very versatile. The handle can be customized for a cross body bag/ handbag/ shoulder bag. It is an easy spacious modern bag! It goes well with all outfits. This beautiful tote bag is easy and works up fast, it is made in rounds, no sewing needed at all. It is called the Japanese knot bag because of the way it closes on top with the handles. We will use an easy beginner lacy stitch.

Skill: Beginner Friendly
Yarn: Any medium weight or weight 4 yarn of your choice can be used.
Yarn used by me: Red Heart Super Saver, Shade: Minty E300 0520.
Yardage: 333 m/ 364 yards in 198 g of yarn. Each skein has 198 g.
Material: 100% Acrylic.
Amount needed: 122 g or 225 yards for knot bag. Slightly more for cross body bag due to longer handle.
Crochet hook: 5 mm or H size hook.
Notions: Stitch markers, tapestry needle, measuring tape, scissors.
Finished Size
Width: 11” or 28 cm
Height: 12” or 30.5 cm

1) The pattern is written in US crochet terms in ENGLISH.
2) This is a 7 page PDF pattern. A print friendly version is available.
3) It has written instructions for the crochet pattern and detailed pattern row by row notes with pictures. It does not include finished product.
4) It can be made in any similar yarn suitable for your hook. There is a YouTube tutorial that explains in detail and I have linked it.
