You will need worsted yarn or dk yarn and 3mm hook.

You can enjoy making them in different colours and in many hair colours so you can interchange them
among your dolls. Its so fun !! ^_^ Also I tied the obi or japanese belt around the waist and attached a
little handbag for a girly look !
