Japanese Kokeshi Doll Amigurumi Crochet Pattern
This is a crochet pattern inspired by my collection of traditional wooden Japanese Kokeshi dolls. She would make a wonderful ornament or a sweet doll for someone special.
She is approximately 14.5cm tall and made out of worsted weight or DK yarn (8 ply wool for the antipodeans). Felt flowers are used to add detail. Wool is used for the hair and embroidery thread for the face detail and flower centres.
The pattern is written in US terms and is very easy to follow, with detailed written instructions and plenty of images to help you make your doll. She is made in amigurumi style (crochet in the round) and would be suitable for those who already know basic crochet skills.
