Japanese Virtual Pet Scarf
A few months ago, YouTube recommended me Tamagotchi unboxing and playthrough videos, and I got hooked again. Seeing all these cute virtual pets inspired me to make a new pixel chart for a new scarf design. I chose some Tamagotchi’s from the first generation, some fan favorites and obviously, I squeezed my own favorites in between. I hope everyone finds at least one Tamagotchi who they love. I’m really happy with the finished design and my childhood memories come flooding back when I look at the scarf.
(All characters belong to Bandai)
While knitting the chart, I changed small mistakes I made and only noticed after knitting. I made Kuchipatchi a little bigger because he looked on my finished scarf smaller than the other Tamagotchi’s. Also, I forgot to color Maskutchi’s ears and fixed it. So it’s not going to look 1 to 1, like in the pictures, but now it looks even cuter.
Pattern includes written instructions for the overall project, but the body of the scarf is all charted (no written instructions for that).
The scarf uses an invisible cast-on, invisible bind-off, and slipped edges.
