Japarta Journey
This is a fundraising pattern for my late brother, Mino. (1971-2004)
A triangle shawl for Spring 2012! This is a simple and easy, and fun to knit (not boring) project. This pattern shows the beauty of any type of yarns, from solid to highly variegated.
Skills required:
K, P, YO, M1R/M1L, K1tbl, K2tog/P2tog, Kfb
Finished size (blocked) : 56” wingspan x 21.5” depth
Ver 1.1 before 7/11/12 has a minor error on the pattern note. It should read “Increase at the center st with M1R/M1L” instead of “M1R/M1R”
Stitch count for each row is available in a separate file with a pattern purchase.
All the proceeds of this pattern will be donated to Minoru Hokari Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Australian National University. My late brother, Minoru Hokari (“Mino” 1971-2004) died of cancer at the age of 32. The scholarship fund supports young scholars who study Indigenous Australians through fieldwork. We are trying to fully fund it to achieve its perpetuity. Please help.
Please visit Being Connected with HOKARI MINORU (www.hokariminoru.org) to meet Mino.
